Wayne Harris, President
Wayne Harris is the SDBEA President for 2012. He has been an instrumental leader over the past several years in his involvement with the SDBEA, serving as Vice President for 2 years, and he was one of the SDBEA founding members. As Chief Portfolio Engineer for The Irvine Company, Wayne oversees 52 buildings consisting of over 4.3 million square feet and has responsibility for the overall building operations of the La Jolla Office & Campus Office Portfolio. With a staff of 24 engineers, Wayne and his team excel at delivering an unparalleled customer experience, in addition to increasing the performance and value of the Irvine Company assets. With both BA and Masters degrees, along with his 25 years in the engineering industry, Wayne has extensive experience in facility operations, maintenance and management. He has held senior leadership positions on both the owner and contractor sides of operations with companies including Equity Office, Burnham Real Estate, CBRE, Koll and Trammel Crow.

Thor Emblem is the 2012 Vice President for SDBEA. He has held several leadership positions within the SDBEA, most notably chairing the Annual Golf Tournament. Thor is the Branch Manager of ABM Engineering.

Jessica Kalloch, Secretary
Jessica Kalloch is the 2012 Community Service Chair for SDBEA. She has been in the industry for over 10 years and is currently in Commercial Business Development for Bill Howe Plumbing. She develops, retains & grows business in the San Diego Market. Jessica studied psychology at SDSU and has an active 6-year old Chocolate Labrador. She and her wonderful husband recently closed on a brand new-to-them house!

Barry Garson, Board Director - Membership Chair
Barry Garson has worked in the restoration industry for over 17 years and represented J&M Keystone Restoration for more than 13 years. He has been an active member of the SDBEA for more than 10 years and serves as the 2012 membership chair. Barry graduated from SDSU, is IICRC certified in water damage, lives in Pacific Beach with his beautiful wife, Juliet. He loves to travel, golf, surf and have fun with family & friends.

Wesley Dymek, Board Director - Member at Large
Wesley Dymek is the principal of Paragon Services Engineering. He has a very successful history of engineering and management, providing training and staff development at numerous facilities throughout the country. Prior to joining Paragon Services, Wesley was responsible for multiple high-profile projects including the total facilitization of 120mm combustible tank ammunition production for NATO countries. Also, he was responsible for the development and management of processes producing wiring components for the space shuttle wire harnessing systems.

John Sullivan, Board Director - Member at Large
John Sullivan is one of the Board of Directors at Large. He has served in the engineering field for over 25 years. John's career started out working in mixed commercial and office environments with properties all over San Diego county, including taking on the role of Facilities Manager for a biotech company for 10 of those years. For the past 15 years, he has worked mainly in office-type spaces, and is currently a Chief Engineer for a local property management company for 2 new mid-rise office buildings.
Karen (Pretzel) Wujek, Advisory Board - Special Events Chair
Karen Wujek, formerly known as Karen Pretzel, is the 2012 SDBEA Special Events Chair and Member at Large. Originally from MN, Karen moved to enjoy the sun & fun of San Diego over 5 years ago. She has been in the industry for over 4 years and is currently the Account Manager for Inspections & Maintenance at COSCO Fire Protection for San Diego and Imperial Counties to keep all our buildings up to code! Karen got married in October 2011 to her amazing husband, Ben. They live with their dog, Moxie, and just bought their house in Carmel Mountain Ranch.

Andrew Felsburg, Advisory Board - Member at Large
Andrew Felsburg has been involved with SDBEA for 3 years and has served on the SDBEA board for over 2 years. He is also an active member of BOMA where he currently serves on the Board of Directors. Andrew has been working in the plumbing infrastructure industry for more than 10 years and has represented Nu Flow America for over 8 years. Andrew lives in Poway with his beautiful wife, Brooke, and his daughters, Morgan and Maddison.

Michael McNamara, Past President
Michael McNamara works for the County of San Diego. With over 30 years of experience with Facilities/ Fleet operations, he has been a member of SDBEA for 11 years, 8 of which he has served in various Board of Director positions. Mike has an AS degree in Electronics Technology, as well as Facilities Management & Energy Efficiency certificates from UCSD and an IMFA Facilities Management Professional Certification.
